Police say investigations into a vehicle collision at Freestone north-east of Warwick late last week in which a young local man died are continuing.
Two vehicles collided on McMasters Road early last Thursday morning, 16 April, with the accident claiming the life of Luke Mauch, aged 23.
A 19 year old woman who was a passenger in the same vehicle as Mr Mauch is understood to still be recovering in hospital from multiple injuries. She was airlifted to a Brisbane hospital by a LifeFlight helicopter from the scene.
A 35 year old man, the driver of the other vehicle, was treated for what police said were minor injuries at Warwick Hospital.
The accident took place just before 8.30am last Thursday.
The Police Forensic Crash Unit attended the scene and a police spokesman said their investigations into the cause of the accident are continuing as of today, Monday 20 April, but no further details have yet been released.
