Southern Downs Regional Council has announced roadworks will commence on Forde Street at Allora between Warwick Street and Drayton Street next Monday 11 May.
A council spokeswoman said works “are expected to be completed within two calendar weeks. Both the start and completiondates are subject to change and are weather dependent”.
“The work site on Forde Street will be closed to traffic with diversions during working hours,” the spokeswoman said.
“Due to restricted lane and traffic control conditions, delays will be experienced by road users.
“Affected local residents will still have access to and from their properties and will need to obey th direction of traffic controllers, workers and signage during the work hours of 6.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
“Council apologises for any inconvenience and appreciates the cooperation of road users and local residents during this period.”
