Police are investigating after a man sustained a gunshot wound at Warwick this morning.
Police were called to Wallace Street at around 9.30 am following reports from the public about a shooting.
Preliminary investigations suggest the man was standing on the footpath when he was shot by another man.
The 37-year-old was driven to hospital by family, where he is undergoing surgery for an abdominal wound.
Police are searching for a man who fled the area in a vehicle.
Those involved are known to each other and police do not believe there is concern for the broader community.
