Anticipation building for the Warwick Show

Warwick Show is going to be everyone’s happy place in 2022, running from Friday 18 March to Sunday 20 March.

It will be a place where people can enjoy fresh air and wholesome family entertainment, starting bright and early on the Friday morning.

There’ll be cooking, art, pottery, needlework, photography, lapidary, woodwork, and bees and honey displays in the pavilions.

Take the family to see prime cattle and sheep on display, our young parades with their stud cattle and sheep, and our sheep dogs at work in the sheep dog trials.

Other events include bringing your pet to show off in the pet parade and entering your pony into ring events.

There’s also the option of sitting in the grandstand and enjoying the show jumping talent.

This year, the show is introducing the sensational Mobile Animal Farm, an activity allowing hands on experiences like feeding and cuddling alpacas, cheeky miniature goats, dorper and damara sheep, hens, ducklings, a rooster, cute guinea pigs, an adorable bunny rabbit, and a noisy little piglet.

We will also have the Helly Hoops with giant bubbles, Hula Hoops Play space, Spinning Plate, Poi, Silk Fans, and a Mixed Circus Play space.

The night-time entertainment will kick off with our Warwick junior touch reps competing in a touch competition in the arena.

This will be followed by the trotting heats and final, Carey Bros Lucky Ball Drop, the Cross Saw team event challenge, the FMX Chaos Motocross Spectacular, fireworks, and the nonstop action of the Demolition Derby.

You haven’t been to the show until you take a walk through sideshow alley.

Try a dagwood dog, fairy floss, or the famous Shannon’s chips.

Grab a show bag and take a ride on the dodgem cars or something more thrilling.

Then there’s Saturday, which has the the Good Year Auto Ute show.

There’s the chance to meet and greet your local show and rodeo queens, and at 5pm, the Saturday night Rodeo followed by live entertainment will last into the night.

Children under 12 have free entry, and the weekend will promise a family outing filled with non-stop entertainment.
