Jumpers and Jazz in July Vibe Awaits

A great adventure awaits you at Warwick’s 2022 Jumpers and Jazz in July – Queensland’s quirkiest Winter festival!

Spread over ten days from 21 to 31 July, the festival is book-ended by two big weekends and has become a favourite destination for locals and travellers from afar – sometimes by the busload!

Think: a kaleidoscope of yarn-bombed colour, vibrant toe-tapping jazz ‘n blues, great food including wine and coffee always and a healthy dose of warm country hospitality, crisp frosty mornings, and usually soul-warming sunny days with brilliant blue skies.

So bring out those beanies and scarves and explore over 100 event experiences throughout the Southern Downs Region.

This year, Stroll and Swing on Saturday 30 July includes an exciting Kidzone at the Park which promises to delight young ones with a mini train, dressed-up ponies, an animal farm, play stations – and emergency services doing ‘show and tell’ with their magnificent machines.

The original Festival was created in 2004 to create community ownership through a fun and entertaining way of using the new look streetscape, boost the local economy by growing tourism visitation and retail activity during the colder season, and increasing participation in the arts – to generate creativity, increase community participation in arts and share textile art with more people.

The festival was then organized by an arm of the local Council.

Jumpers and Jazz in July Inc were re-birthed as a not-for-profit incorporated community association in December 2016 and has since been managed by passionate, dedicated committee volunteers.

Since the inaugural event, numbers have risen steadily, with visitors flocking in from nearby regions as well as the whole Australian Eastern seaboard.

There have even been travellers from overseas timing their visit to the Antipodes with our quirky winter festival!

The online program is available on the festival’s website at jumpersandjazz.com.au and printed copies will be available from Visitor Information Centre.
