Warwick Rodeo Royalty began their duties this week after a dazzling crowning ceremony only days earlier.

The convoy of three cars chauffeured the royals to several events on Monday as they fulfilled their royal responsibilities.

The week is a whirl wind of activities with visits to many local schools and kindergartens in the district.

The Rodeo Royals also visited several aged care homes and we were lucky enough to catch up with them at Akooramak Aged Care on Monday morning.

2022 Warwick Rodeo Junior Cowgirl Gabby Newing explained that they attended the Wheatvale school before coming to Akooramak.

“We split into two groups with the students, and we participated in physical activities like skipping and dancing.

“It was a very fun morning,” Gabby said.

The Royals arrived at Akooramak before morning tea and introduced themselves to the residents.

“We talked about rodeo and had some lovely conversations with them all.“

“It’s nice to be out in the community,“ Gabby said.

The busy schedule continues with the Royals riding their horses into the Ariat Warwick Rodeo and EasiFeed Campdraft or being transported in the back of a ute at the opening ceremony on Thursday evening at the Warwick Showgrounds.

Many duties over the weekend, including award presentations, will keep the Royals engaged until the closing event on Sunday afternoon.
