Sean Nolan was the guest speaker for November and spoke on the current topic of scams at the Probus Club of Stanthorpe recently.

He enlightened the audience of a simple thing to watch out for – a dot after au – apparently, that then leads the user to another site, usually a ‘bad’ one.

Mr Nolan is also able to speed up older laptops or desktop computers, transfer personal data from old devices to new ones, help with backing up data, wifi problems, and much more.

www.scamwatch.gov.au is a great site to check anything you suspect might not be legitimate or to report a scam.

Val Rogers said their Christmas function is on Wednesday 13 December.

“There will be no December meeting at the RSL, but the next activity will be a bus trip on 22 February to Ipswich.

“I would like to thank all our Probus Members for getting behind their committee this year and wish everyone a very happy Christmas and safe New

Year.“

“See you all back on deck on 24 January, 2023,“ she said.
