The Warwick Showgrounds came alive with the vibrant spirit of Celtic culture on Saturday 30 and Sunday 1 as the highly anticipated Celtic Fest took place.

Visitors from far and wide flocked to the event, immersing themselves in a weekend filled with exciting activities and cultural experiences.

The festival showcased a diverse range of attractions, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. Attendees were treated to thrilling Highland Games, captivating Viking battles, and mesmerising black powder displays. In addition, the festival featured bustling markets and enchanting music, creating an immersive and engaging atmosphere.

Pamela Clark-Dickson, one of the event organisers, expressed her delight at the overwhelming success of the festival.

“We had a tremendous crowd both days, and everyone seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves in various parts of the festival,“ Pamela said.

The event fostered a sense of community and family, as attendees participated in the music and eagerly sought to learn more about the activities taking place throughout the showgrounds.

The making of such a remarkable event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Warwick community, dedicated volunteers, and local businesses. Pamela extended her gratitude to the Southern Downs Regional Council, Tourism and Events Queensland, and Southern Queensland Country Tourism for their invaluable contributions.

“We could not have achieved this without the tremendous support we received from everyone involved, and for that, I want to say a heartfelt thank you.

“We hope to bring it back bigger and better next time,“ she said.

As the sound of the bagpipes fades and the highland cows return home, Warwick bids farewell to yet another successful Celtic Fest and prepares their calendar for the next one.
