Plans are well underway for the Anglican Parish of Warwick’s highly anticipated Christmas celebrations, set to take place in 2023.

The highlight of the festivities will be the fourth annual Community Christmas Tree Festival (CCTF), bringing joy and unity to the community during the holiday season.

Parish Rector, the Venerable Lizzie Gaitskell, said the festival was a beautiful way to acknowledge and celebrate the strength of the community and its care agencies.

“Through the symbolism of Christmas trees and the delight they bring to people across the season, we welcome community organisations to celebrate and showcase their heart and soul through the beauty of a supplied Christmas Tree and its decorations,” Ven. Lizzie said.

“Our year has been challenging in many ways, but we look to the achievements and success that we can claim together.”

Taking place at Warwick’s St Mark’s Anglican Church, the festival will run from Tuesday, 19 December to Friday, 22 December.

Members of the public are invited to view the stunningly adorned trees between 5pm and 7pm each evening.

A gold coin donation will be requested for entry, with the proceeds donated to a local charity chosen annually.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite tree in “The People’s Choice“ category.

In addition to the Community Christmas Tree Festival, the parish has arranged a special treat for visitors on Thursday, December 21.

From 5pm to 7pm, the church grounds will host a pop-up Twilight Christmas Gift Market. This event offers the perfect opportunity to find those last-minute Christmas presents from local and talented artists and stallholders.

Ven. Lizzie enthusiastically invites everyone to St. Mark’s Anglican Church to witness the beauty and spirit that radiate from the many lovingly decorated Christmas trees. It promises to be a heartwarming experience for all who attend, spreading joy and goodwill throughout the community.
