The melodic jingle of sleigh bells was temporarily replaced by the rhythmic chugging of steam trains at Rose City Shoppingworld on 2 December. Santa, the much-anticipated star of the show, was met with the excited buzz of children eager to catch a glimpse of the man in red. However, the spotlight quickly shifted to an unexpected character in green – The Grinch, who stole both Christmas and Santa’s limelight.

The shopping centre was transformed into a chaotic yet joyous scene as hundreds of families, adorned in their most festive attire, flocked to capture a photo with Santa. Navigating through the shops became a challenge amid the festive frenzy created by these two Christmas icons.

Despite the playful chaos, the unmistakable takeaway is that Christmas has officially arrived in Warwick.

The tree is up on the main street and Town Hall has donned its best decorations. It is not long until all trees in the CBD are decorated and the festive season is in full swing.
