Southern Downs Steam Railway thrilled the public with a memorable Open Day held at the Warwick Rail Precinct on 2 December.

The event was a success, with several railway enthusiasts, families, and history buffs enjoying the experience. Chairman Kelvin Hutchinson, in his expression of enthusiasm, highlighted a diverse array of attractions, including an extensive rail museum, operational steam locomotives, historic carriages with a rich heritage spanning 70-100 years, diesel locomotives showcasing the evolution of rail technology, and Watco’s impressive 2500hp locomotives representing modern rail power.
