As the dawn breaks across Southern Downs, communities are gathering to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of Australia’s servicemen and women on Anzac Day, here is where you can gather.
Allora
5:30am: Dawn Service at Anzac Park, Warwick St.
7:00am: Gunfire Breakfast (All welcome).
9:30am: 105th Memorial Service at Allora Cemetery, conducted by the Salvation Army.
10:00am: Parade Form Up at Corner Herbert and Drayton Streets.
10:45am: Parade March Off.
11:00am: Commemorative Service at Allora Cenotaph. Lunch, Drinks, and Refreshments available in RSL Hall afterward (All welcome).
Junabee
5:00am: Dawn Service at Junabee Memorial Hall, 573 Roona Rd, Junabee. Followed by Gunfire Breakfast.
Killarney – 24th April
4:30pm: Graveside Service at Killarney Cemetery.
Killarney – 25th April
5:00am: Dawn Service at Killarney Cenotaph followed by Gunfire Breakfast at Killarney Rec Club.
9:00am: Street March at Willow Street, Killarney.
9:45am: Anzac Day Service at Killarney Cenotaph followed by BBQ lunch, sandwiches, cakes, etc., in RSL hall.
Leyburn
5:15am: Dawn Service arrival (Service starts by 5:45am). Gunfire Breakfast after the Dawn Service. Gold coin donation for Mates for Mates.
9:30am: March starts from McIntyre St Leyburn.
9:45am: Service in Liberator Park Leyburn. BBQ lunch available after the main march with 2up.
Pratten
5:30am: Dawn Service at Heritage Park in White Street followed by Gunfire Breakfast in the Public Hall ($5pp).
Stanthorpe
5:30am: Dawn Service at Weeroona Park.
10:30am: Parade to commence at Maryland/Folkestone St Roundabout.
11:00am: Main Service at Weeroona Park.
Ballandean
5:30am: Community Service at Ballandean Pyramid, followed by a community fundraising BBQ.
Applethorpe – 24th April
9:45am: Service at Applethorpe War Memorial Park, Ann Street.
Tannymorel
7:30am: Service commences at Tannymorel Cenotaph.
Wallangarra
5:30am: Dawn Service.
11:00am: March Commences at RSL Hall.
12:00pm: Commemoration Service at WJPA Hall.
Warwick
5:25am: Dawn Service at Cenotaph in Leslie Park, Warwick.
8:30am: War Graves Service.
9:30am: Eden Garden Service.
10:40am: Parade starts.
11:00am: Main service at Leslie Park.
Yangan
7:45am: Parade Form Up outside Old Carey Bros Butcher Shop.
8:00am: Service Commences outside Yangan School of Arts Hall.
9:00am: Service commences at Emu Vale Memorial Hall. Morning Tea provided by Emu Vale QCWA on completion of service. All welcome.
