String of break-ins

Police are investigating a string of break-ins in the Mount Tabor and Condavale Estate areas on Saturday night.

Six houses were entered and keys to five vehicles were stolen over a period of several hours on 21 April.

Police said three of those vehicles had since been recovered. Detectives and officers from other divisions have launched investigations into the offences.

“Police wish to remind residents to ensure their doors are locked and secure and to

consider the use of CCTV at their houses,” Acting Senior Sergeant Slater said.

Driver charged after highway crash

A 49-year-old Toowoomba woman has been charged for allegedly driving “without due care” after crashing her car on the New England Highway at Willowvale last Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services responded to the incident at about 2.30pm on 18 April. Paramedics reportedly treated the woman for minor injuries before police later charged her.

Shop fire

Investigations have been launched into a shop on the corner of Fitzroy and Albion Streets which caught fire last Wednesday.

Fire crews responded and took control of the fire with limited damage caused to the building.

An examination of CCTV footage near the scene revealed two people who were in the area at the time, police said.

Driving offences

A 54-year-old Dalveen woman will face court charged with drug driving after allegedly failing a roadside drug test on Wallace Street at about 8.30am on 17 April.

A 23-year-old Warwick woman will also face court on drug driving charges after she too allegedly failed a drug test on Jackie Howe Drive last Friday.

A 33-year-old Warwick woman was charged after police allegedly caught her driving on a disqualified license.
