The Jumper and Jazz in July (JJJ) festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, promising a bigger and better experience for all attendees.

The festival committee is thrilled to bring an extended event to the region, featuring more woolly warmth, an abundance of jazz, and a variety of activities to involve everyone.

“We’re excited about it all because we love everything about the festival,“ the committee said.

“The events we deliver, the events hosted by the community across seven different locations in addition to Warwick – we love seeing the joy on visitors’ faces.

“We enjoy meeting new people and making friends with those who come to the festival from near and far.“

Adding to the celebratory spirit, the Yarntopians are marking their 10th year of creating yarn installations. They will host two special events:

The Yarnival at St Marks Church from 18-28 June is a collaborative large-scale installation, inspired by vintage fairgrounds, carnivals, and circuses, and will showcase delightful yarn creations in a colourful and enchanting display.

Visitors are invited on a nostalgic journey filled with wonder and handmade artistry.

As well as A Decade Of Yarns at Kings Theatre. This exhibition will celebrate the Yarntopians’ 10-year journey, featuring photographs, stories, and pieces from the team’s collection, highlighting a decade of colour, creativity, and community spirit.

“Where else can you go where all the trees become pieces of public art, where everything is covered in knitting and crochet?,” the JJJ Committee said.

“We love the street vibe during the festival.

“We love that more people, organisations, and businesses are joining the jazzy vibe, dressing up their shops and workplaces.“

The festival’s program this year includes several exciting new features, adding to the buzz of the celebrations:

Saturday Stroll & Swing: The event will shift to Leslie Park, creating a relaxed festive atmosphere where guests can enjoy the green grass and shady trees while exploring fabulous stalls.

Twilight Jazz n Blues Event: Featuring world-acclaimed performers Elixir with Katie Noonan and Hat Fitz & Cara, this event is sure to be a highlight.

Stilt Walkers: Thanks to Rose City Shopping World, stilt walkers will be included in the Leslie Park Stroll & Swing for the first time.

The JJJ Committee encourages everyone to join in the festivities and enjoy the unique blend of yarn art, jazz music, and community spirit that defines the festival.
