Paramedics were called to two crashes in one day at a BMX track west of Warwick on Saturday.

LifeFlight chopper crews were called to reports of the first incident at the track, located just off the Cunningham Highway in Tregony, at about 10.30am on Saturday 15 June.

In a statement to media, a LifeFlight spokesman said a man aged in his 30s “had suffered suspected lower limb and spinal injuries after crashing his motorbike”.

The man was later airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition, but with “significant leg and back injuries”, a QAS spokesman said.

The spokesman said paramedics were called back to another incident at the BMX course that afternoon at about 3.15pm.

He said a male teen had sustained back and hip injuries after failing to land a jump.
