Pets dressed to the nines gathered at Long Neck Farm for their 2024 Long Neck Farm Pet Gala, a free community event designed for pet lovers of all ages.
With over 25 entrants spanning 10 categories, some travelling from as far as Grafton, the day was filled with entertainment and excitement. Visitors enjoyed watching the judging by Dr Emily from Warwick Vet Clinic, browsing the market stalls, and interacting with farm animals. Southern Downs Ark also showcased a large display of adoptable animals.
The event culminated in the announcement of the Grand Champion, sponsored by Long Neck Farm and Darling Downs Zoo. This year’s deserving winner was “Missy” the dog, who triumphed in multiple categories.
The Pet Gala featured 11 exciting categories, each awarding rosette ribbons to winners. Categories included Best Male and Female Entry, Best Rescue/Adopted Pet, Snazziest Dresser, Funniest Pet, Supreme Vocalist, Prettiest Hooves/Claws/Paws, Best Long Neck, Trickiest Trickster, All About The Eyes, Most Unique Pet, and People’s Pick.
