In a thrilling Southern Downs Basketball Championship matchup, the Dream Team triumphed over RPC 54-40.

Neither side could take any advantage early on with a tightly contested first quarter, ending with the Dream Team leading 10-8.

The second quarter saw the Dream Team extend their lead, outscoring RPC by four points to go into halftime ahead 27-21.

Both teams scored 11 points each in the third quarter, maintaining the Dream Team’s six-point lead.

The final quarter featured standout performances, with the Dream Team’s Sam Wall scoring 28 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter. Despite Nelson Loterte’s effort to keep RPC in the game by scoring 10 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, the Dream Team managed to stretch their lead to 14 points and secure the championship victory.

Upcoming Season: Ford’s Supercamp Cup

The new season kicks off this Thursday with the Ford’s Supercamp Cup at WIRAC. Games are held on Thursdays from 6pm. Players and teams are welcome to join by showing up at the venue.
