Following the success of last year’s inaugural Bling and Bow Tie Charity Dinner, the Rotary Club of The Granite Belt (RCOTGB) has announced the release of tickets for the 2024 event.

This year’s dinner will be held at the Stanthorpe International Club on 31 August and will benefit the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

RCOTGB President Greg Paxton highlighted the importance of the RFDS to the local community. “Most people associate RFDS with outback and remote communities; however, many local people would be surprised to learn that the RFDS planes are regular visitors to the Stanthorpe airstrip,” Mr Paxton said.

“RFDS carries out medical retrievals almost as frequently as the LifeFlight helicopters – the difference is they are just not as visible to the community. For those patients airlifted by the RFDS, the experience is quite often life-altering or lifesaving.”

The Rotary Club invites everyone to don their best bling and bow ties, tread the red carpet, and enjoy an amazing evening while supporting an iconic Australian organization that benefits the local community.

Guests will enjoy inspirational speakers, delicious food prepared by renowned chef Jason Costanzo, and entertainment by the local duo No Relation.

Tickets are priced at $110 per head and are available online at trybooking.com/CTLCU or locally from Gleesons Mercery.
