Astronomy enthusiasts, stargazers, and wine drinkers are invited to Ridgemill Estate for a region’s first celestial event on Saturday, 3 August.

The evening promises to be a stellar experience, featuring a diverse range of telescopes, expert commentary, live music, and delectable food.

Attendees will have the chance to view the vast Granite Belt night sky through 8”, 16”, and 20“ telescopes. Local and visiting astronomy enthusiasts will guide participants, offering expert insights and commentary.

Martin Cooper, owner of Ridgemill Estate said they believe this stargazing event is a first for the region and are excited to see the huge response already.

“The Granite Belt offers an unparalleled canvas for stargazers — you can lose yourself in its brilliance! Interest in this event has even been felt as far as Brisbane,” Mr Cooper said.

“We will have eight scopes onsite, four owned by local enthusiasts with the other four being brought by the astronomer’s group in Brisbane.

“The overwhelming response underscores the massive interest in this kind of event!“

For those intrigued by astrology, resident expert Tara Mosier will explore planetary alignments and astrological insights at her engaging booth. She will also lead interactive sessions using a laser pointer to navigate constellations and unravel the mysteries of the universe.

Adding to the evening’s charm, a food van will serve delicious fare, complemented by live music throughout the night. To ensure warmth and coziness, fire pits and gas braziers will be provided, creating the perfect atmosphere for an intimate stargazing experience.

Tickets for this exclusive event are limited, and booking is highly recommended.

“Join us for an evening where the stars align and the universe unfolds its secrets. We look forward to welcoming you to Ridgemill Estate for a night of celestial wonder and delightful experiences.”
