After a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Granite Belt Business Excellence Awards are set to make a grand return this November.

The event will once again celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses in the region, providing a platform for recognition and community support.

Graham Parker, President of the Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce, expressed excitement about reviving the awards.

“As we settle back into post-Covid operations, the time is right to bring back the business awards,” Mr Parker said.

The night promises to be a highlight of the year for the business community, featuring a formal ceremony where businesses across various sectors will be recognised for their excellence, innovation, and contribution to the local economy.

“One of the biggest challenges is encouraging busy business owners to take the time to submit nominations. But it’s absolutely worth the effort,“ Mr Parker said.

“Participating in the awards not only provides recognition but also offers a valuable opportunity for businesses to reflect on their achievements and gain visibility within the community.“

Nominations for the awards have already begun trickling in, and the Chamber is preparing to ramp up efforts to encourage more businesses to participate.

“We have a strategy in place to get more people involved,” Mr Parker said.

“The Chamber’s executive members will be pushing hard to ensure we have a strong pool of nominees.

“It’s all looking very positive at the moment.”

The Granite Belt Business Excellence Awards will showcase the resilience, creativity, and hard work of local businesses, helping to strengthen the region’s economy and community ties.

The gala dinner and award presentation night is on 23 November and nominations close on 6 September.
