On Saturday, Churches of Christ Warwick brought the community together for a fun-filled family event, with over 80 people in attendance.

Held at the One Table Cafe Function Centre on the Churches of Christ Campus, the day offered something for everyone, from newborns to seniors aged 90.

The event featured a free family movie, a variety of games, and a sausage sizzle, creating a lively atmosphere that fostered connection and enjoyment across generations.

The focus was on providing an affordable, inclusive experience for local families, especially during a time when many are feeling the pinch of rising living costs.

Campus Manager Noo Shepherd emphasised the importance of such community gatherings.

“It’s important to support our local community by hosting events like this. It’s a joyful experience to bring generations together, incorporating activities that everyone can participate in,“ she said.

She also noted the value of offering these opportunities during the school holidays, saying, “With the current cost of living crisis and budgets tight, our fun days enable every child to join in on the fun.”

The event was a heartwarming success, showcasing the strength of community spirit and the joy of shared experiences.
