October is Seniors Month, the Southern Downs Steam Railway are rolling out the red carpet to honour the wonderful seniors in the Southern Downs!
The Southern Downs Steam Railway invites all seniors and their families to join us for a special celebration on Saturday, 12th October, from 8.30am to 12.30pm at the Rail Precinct, 1 Hamilton Street, Warwick.
This free event promises a morning filled with fun, food, and festivities!
They are bringing the community together with a variety of attractions, including locomotive and carriage displays, car and bike clubs, rescue and fire services, model train displays, musical performances, and more. Our local radio station, Rose City FM, will also be on-site, adding to the lively atmosphere.
For the young and young-at-heart, the Children’s mini train will be in action, providing entertainment for all ages. To keep everyone energised, we’re offering a free sausage sizzle and or delicious hamburgers for all attendees.
This is a celebration you won’t want to miss! It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends, meet new people, and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our seniors to the community.
For those who love a little extra excitement, book your spot for this free event via the Downs Explorer website www.downsexplorer.org.au to enter into a prize draw every hour on the day.
Prizes include train travel for two with lunch or dinner included, and or novelty railway merchandise. However, if you prefer, you can simply turn up and enjoy the festivities.
