The main selling markets this week were firm for numbers as we end the financial year and the frost starts to set in we can see the markets either retreat or be enhanced due to the lack of numbers. Cattle saw 971 head yarded similar to last week’s numbers but with a lot more light store types. Sheep and Lamb numbers were up slightly and the market was a 80/20 lamb/mutton split with a fair percentage of lambs falling into the lighter end of the trade weights.

Pork numbers were back with Boars selling from $142 to $160, Sows from $50 to $308, Baconers from $70 to $80, Pork from $183 to $220, Sores from $38 to $180.
Poultry saw Pullets sell to $32.50, Drakes sell to $32.50, Geese sell to $40, Ducks sell to $12.50, Guinea Fowl sell to $12.50, Turkey Hens sell to $57.50, Peacocks selling to $50/pair, groups of Ducklings selling from $17.50 to $30, Hens selling to $30, Roosters selling to $22.50
