Agents and vendors combined to see the sale of 2258 head for the weekly sale. The yarding was a 70/30 split between lambs and mutton. The reasons behind most of the sales were in the lighter section were producers not being able to finish the article due to the lack of feed and the continuous frost. The mutton section saw some good lines of sheep presented, some were suitable for restockers, but most were destined for the processor. There were a few restockers looking to boost numbers either in a replacement mode or a commercial benefit. Lambs and hoggets topped at $192 to av $109.08($25 down ), Ewes topped at $ 173 to av $68.68 ($1 down), Wethers topped at $115 to av $56.30 ($22 down), Rams topped at $180 to av ($77.58) The total yarding of stock averaged $89.30 a drop of $28/head week on week.
