Agents and vendors combined to present a total of 2626 head to the weekly sale. The stock yarded today was of a mix of quality, with a high number of light lambs and trade sheep. The sale was a choice of 2, with the light fresh stock sought after as restockers and feed lotters look to up some numbers. The finished articles were few and far between with the trade and export lambs with finish holding their own. There was a high % of trade lambs weaned off ewes a low weights which influenced average pricing and market quotes. Lambs topped at $206 to av $122.49 ($20 down ), hoggets topped at $ 139 to av $99.63 ($10 down), Ewes topped at $90 to av $59.05 ($4 down), wethers topped at $126 to av $71.86 ($4 down), Ram lambs topped at $124 to av $90.33 ($3 down), Rams topped at $132 to av $79.43 ($8 down), The sale average of $103.20 was $22/head down on last week.
