Queensland Firebirds vice-captain Laura Geitz believes there are some future netball stars in our region following her recent clinic in Warwick.
Geitz was impressed with the range of talent on show at her first clinic in the Rose City.
“There are definitely some future superstars of the game from this region,” she said.
Geitz, along with fellow team-mates Romelda Aiken and Ameliaranne Wells passed on some netball tips to about 90 locals.
Geitz said it was important to come out to regional areas to promote the sport and it also gave her a rare opportunity to catch up with her family in Allora.
Warwick youngster Hayley Millard was thrilled to meet stars from her favourite ANZ Championship team.
“It’s very exciting to meet them and to get tips from them,” Hayley said.
