Physie kids at YMCA

Ready for the Wintersong march are members of the Stanthorpe Physie Club.
Physie enthusiasts in Stanthorpe recently attended a weekend where teachers/students travelled up from Brisbane to join in and be part of two days of learning and a social competition. Since it started early in the year, Physie is proving popular with many taking the opportunity to learn more about this sport. Physie helps develop good posture, strength, fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and balance through a regular program of exercise and dance. The choreography is age-appropriately designed to teach the relationship of music to movement, rhythm and musical interpretation. Each year new syllabus and music is provided and annual competitions are run for teams and individuals. Physie helps improves confidence, develops a sense of achievement and help to build self-esteem in the best way possible. Members of the club also participated in the Tenterfield Wintersong march, sporting their new tracksuits and banner. More information on Physie in Stanthorpe is available from the staff at the YMCA.
