SOUTHERN DOWNS RIFLE CLUB

F Class – 600 yards (open, max score 126): Dave Taylor 125.11, Bruce McAllan 116.3, Neil Sexton 114.4, Noel Wilcox 101.2.
(standard, max score 126): Kevin Jones 105.3, Gavin Harrower 105, Alex Picton 96.1.
Another cold, frosty start last Sunday for the shooters with Dave Taylor ignoring the cold to post a hot score, just missing the maximum total by one point, well done Dave. Next Sunday
29th July we will be holding a “fly” shoot at 600 yards, followed by a bar-b-que at the clubhouse. Come along and test your skill trying to hit a small fly target at 600 yards, sign on at 8.30am for 9.00am start, contact Margaret on 4666 1018 for more information.
WARWICK EAST BOWLS CLUB
Last Saturday two games of triples were played, with the following results. Game 1: E Diery, G Brady, L Nicklich 12 d. P Dipplesman, G Nicklich, C Lawler 3. Game 2: G Nicklich, E Diery, C Lawler 9 d. P Dipplesman, G Brady, L Nicklich 6. The overall winner on the day was E Diery, with G Brady and L Nicklich equal runners-up. The attempt at the jackpot was unsuccessful.
Today is our monthly Red Rooster mixed triples, starting at 12.00. Please ring the club on 4661 9050 or (if you can’t get through) 0488 400 676 between 10.00 and 11.30 a.m. if you would like a game.
On Saturday mixed social bowls will again be on offer. Play starts at 1.00 p.m., with names to be in by 12.30. There will be the usual prizes on offer, as well as a chance at the jackpot, which will stand at $56 + $1 per player. Visitors, both bowlers and non-bowlers, will be made very welcome.
Next Thursday will be our monthly mixed triples, starting at 12.00, with names to be in by 11.30 a.m.

This Saturday 28th July you can enjoy an afternoon of fun with our Cool Scarves Silly Socks social bowls commencing at 1pm. There will be many prizes and raffles to be won, so dress up in your coolest scarf and silly socks for an enjoyable time. A sausage sizzle will be provided after bowls and we welcome visitors and beginners, names in by 12.30pm please.
Than on Sunday 29th we will be hosting our Jumpers and Jazz Carnival, morning tea at 8.30am with play commencing at 9am.
Come along on Saturday 4th August for the Gladfield Boys Sponsored Day. This will be a great afternoon of bowls, visitors and beginners are most welcome. Bowls will commence at 1pm and names need to be in by 12.30pm please.
