Nothing in Harm’s way in the pool

Queensland sprint champion Bailey Harm.

Allora’s Bailey Harm is the 14-years Queensland champion taking out three gold medals at the State Sprint Titles at Chandler Pool in Brisbane at the weekend

People often say that there is something in the water at Allora when speaking of the success of Allora sports men and women.

This was very true at the weekend where there was definitely something in the water at the Chandler Pool in Brisbane – a whole bunch of talented swimmers from the Allora.

Twenty-six swimmers represented the Allora Club represented the club at the

2023 Queensland Sprint Championships in Brisbane.

For many of these swimmers it was their first time at a major event like the Sprint Championships their first time racing in an Olympic standard pool like Chandler. A little different to the Allora Pool.

Local swimmer Bailey Harm had an outstanding meet, coming home as the 14 years QLD Champion and gold Medalist in the 50 freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. He also placed fifth in the butterfly to complete an excellent day in the pool. We hear despite his outstanding achievements he might have been spotted enjoying a well-earned at the Allora Show on Saturday night. as well as a 5th place in butterfly to round out a fantastic day at the pool.

Maeve Moore was another to impress with a silver medal in the 50 breaststroke. Will Day was another who swam well cracking a new personal best.

Alyssa White swam off for a place in the reserves for the finals of the 50 butterfly and also achieved a PB after back to back to back swims.

It was a great experience for all the Allora team. Congratulations to Coach Andrew Fidge who spent the weekend walking up and down stairs, out and back to the warm up pool and supporting his swimmers on the pool deck.

His too was a champion effort.
