The Final of the Championship B Grade Singles final was played last Saturday, and it was a riveting game. It seemed as though Faye Flint could do no wrong and led 17-10 on the 20th End. Her opponent Craig Thurgate changed the length of the Jack and by the 26th end scores were tied up at 18 all. Faye fought back scoring four shots on the 27th end and went on to win 25-19 in what was a thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable match. With both bowlers playing excellent draw bowls.

Spectators were enthralled and bypassed afternoon for fear they missed a shot. Congratulations to Faye the club’s newly minted Champion however Craig Thurgate lost no supporters playing an equally gutsy game.
