Soccer wraps, Futsal looms

The Warwick Wolves wrapped up their winter season with the Junior grand finals at Queens Park. Warwick/Stanthorpe Today's Chris Munro was on-hand to capture the action.

Warwick District Football Club wrapped up a successful season at Queens Park earlier this month but it’s not the end of round-ball sport for the year.

Players are now being asked to turn their attention to the first ever Futsal Social competition to be held at YMCA WIRAC, 29 Palmerin St Warwick in Term Four starting on Tuesday 10 October for nine weeks.

Warwick Futsal is now looking for eight men’s teams aged 16+ to compete for the title of best Futsal team in town.

Due to a clash with the Warwick Wolves Womens Football events this term, there will not be a mixed competition until next year.

This is Warwick Futsal’s first social competition, with the group building towards selecting a competitive representative team for future tournaments and competitions, for those wanting to play more.

This competition comes off the back of the success of their Junior Academies and we wish to present well, and respectful for the future players of Futsal in Warwick.

Anyone interested should register for Futsal in Term Four at warwickfutsal.formstack.com.

Cost is $50 for Individual Registration to be paid upon registering, and $70 Per Team/ Per Game, to be paid prior to the state of each game.

Meanwhile the Warwick Wolves held their presentation after the junior grand finals on Saturday, 9 September.
