Rugby League action comes to Warwick this weekend for round three of the Western Clydesdales RLFC Development Cup.

This is the second year of the competition which includes teams from Warwick and District, Roma and District, Toowoomba City and Toowoomba Country.

Warwick will searching for their first win when they against Clydesdale Country on Saturday. Rounds have already been held at Toowoomba and Chinchilla.

The Clydesdales went down 22-18 to Clydesdale City in the opening round and despite playing well against Roma went down 18-8.

Roma Assistant Coach Scott Samuels said the team’s main strength is defence which was important against the tough Warwick team.

“They didn’t miss many tackles and their first contact was nice and strong, it had to be against that Warwick team” he explained.
