Drag racing action returns

Drag racing returns.

Drag racing returns to the Warwick Dragway on Saturday for the Junga Bunga No Prep Cash Days.

More than 70 race and street cars will roar down the Dragstrip.

No Prep means the racing surface hasn’t been prepared prior with rubber and traction compound like a normal race meeting would be. So traction/grip is a lot harder to find and makes the heads up drag race a lot more difficult. This tends to make the race a lot closer between high horsepower cars and less powered vehicles.

“The crowd love the burning rubber and side ways action,” an organiser said..

The day will feature five classes Big Tyre, Small Tyre, Budget Radial, Street Tyre, Pro 7.00 Index, as well as a all in Street Car Shootout at the end of the event.

Gates Open 9am, racing from 11am – 6pm, spectators $20, age pensioners $15, children under 13 free.

There will be a full canteen all day.
