The newly restored and refurbished Motocross track at the Morgan Park Raceway complex at Warwick was officially opened at the weekend after weeks of work.
It was a day for formalities and openings but what’s the use of having a race track and not using and so the club Warwick MX Club also held a Club Day so the club’s riders from across the region could check it out and get use to the new circuit and facilities.
However it won’t be long before the new track hosts racing with their first event – the final round of the Somerset Series, being held on 29 September. A second club day is set down for 19 Octobre with the club due to host Motorcycles R Us &KTM 2024 Junior Motocross Development Series final round on 9-10 November.
Warwick Today/Stanthorpe Today’s Samantha Wantling was on-hand at the weekend to capture the opening and some of the first runs on the new track.
