Landcare opens up

Visit Landcare groups for their open day.

By JONATHON HOWARD

THE Border Landcare Organic Group (BLOG) has joined forces with Granite Borders Landcare to host a Community Open Day this Saturday, 21 September.
The event will showcase everything that your local Landcare network achieves in the world of natural resource management.
The day will involve presentations from Landcare groups highlighting projects, field days and workshops that have been held across the Tenterfield and Stanthorpe districts.
The day will also be an opportunity to find out who is involved with Granite Borders Landcare and how you can get involved in a variety of ways.
Staff and committee members will be available to answer questions and provide friendly advice on the day.
So if you have often wondered what Landcare is all about then this is an opportunity not to be missed. If you have not visited the office of Granite Borders Landcare before you will find us in Martin St, Tenterfield (down the hill from the Tenterfield Tavern and behind the police station).
The event starts at 10am with tea/coffee with the talking starting at 10.30am. Bring a plate to share for lunch. For further information please contact Granite Borders Landcare on (02) 6736 3500 or email landcare@gblc.org.au
