Fresh event for Rose City

IT’S a fresh idea but it needs community support, the organisers of Warwick’s first FreshFest say.
With their What’s on Southern Downs Facebook page proving to be a success, Elizabeth Ure and Jonno Colfs are hoping their first FreshFest in Leslie Park on Friday, 11 October will be equally worthwhile.
Mr Colfs said there will be twilight markets, lots of different food and drink stalls, local live music, activities, workshops and games, a Velcro Wall, Vintage Photobooth and a free Movie in the Park Groundhog Day playing from 6.30pm.
“With the Facebook page receiving an enormous amount of public support and encouragement we decided that Warwick needed a more regular festival,” he said.
“So next Friday from3pm until 8.30pm at Leslie Park, the very first Fresh Fest will kick off.
“If we want to make this a regular thing we need the people in the community to support it, so we’d love to see everyone down there to relax and have some fun with us.”
Mr Colfs said the event has attracted support from Headspace Warwick, Warwick RSL, The Cherry Tree Coffee and Dining, Voyage Fitness, Wickham’s Transport, and Big W for all their support.”
The next Fresh Fest has already been locked in for Friday 13 December.
