Total Fire Bans in NSW

A Total Fire Ban has been placed on the New England area of NSW, including the Tenterfield Shire, along with much of the rest of the state.
The Total Fire Bans were imposed late on Tuesday and are current until further notice, the NSW Rural Fire Service said.
No burning is allowed in the open and all permits issued for the Northern Tablelands are suspended until further notice.
The fire bans now exist for coastal regions from Illawarra/Shoalhaven north to the Queensland border and west to the North Western Region.
