Police hunt for truckie

Police are seeking a truck similar to this, possibly involved in a fatal crash in early September.

POLICE are seeking assistance from the public in relation to a fatal crash that occurred overnight between Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September in Wondalli.
Between 11.30pm and 1am a vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Wyaga Road and Cunningham Highway.
The vehicle and the deceased man were discovered at around 9.30am the next morning.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have seen a truck similar to the one pictured in the Darling Downs area around the beginning of September to contact them.

Stanthorpe Police
OFFICER-in-charge of Stanthorpe Police, Senior Sergeant Mark Ireland, said it has been “one of the quietest times I can remember” on the Granite Belt this past week.
A traffic intercept in Connor Street last Tuesday afternoon resulted in the location of a quantity of cannabis.
A 27-year-old man, an overseas visitor, was placed on a drug diversion program for the offence.
Last Saturday night, entry was gained to a vehicle left unlocked in the front yard of a premises in Britannia Street. A wallet containing a sum of money, licence and personal papers was stolen.

Warwick Police
WARWICK Police were pleased with the behaviour of the crowds in the city for the Rose and Rodeo events.
“Everyone was very well behaved” Senior Sergeant Des Canning said.
“It was a pleasing outcome, especially with the lack of street offences,” he said.
However, a number of drink-driving charges blotted Warwick’s copybook.
A 27-year-old male riding a motorbike in the Warwick CBD was intercepted and arrested last Friday and charged with drink-driving (BAC 0.153), dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving unregistered and driving an uninsured vehicle.
A 44-year-old man from NSW was apprehended in Victoria Street on 26 October and charged with having a blood alcohol content of 0.09 and driving while disqualified.
A 23-year-old female from NSW was nabbed along Albion Street with a BAC of 0.145.
An 18-year-old P-Plate driver from Dalby was found to have a BAC of 0.039 when he was intercepted driving a Land Cruiser in Guy Street.
Three drivers were issued with notices after swabs indicated they may have been under the influence of drugs. All three men, aged between 32 and 49 years were Warwick residents.
Their licences were automatically suspended for 48 hours.
A 20-year-old Warwick man was issued a $110 on-the-spot fine for urinating in public in Palmerin Street.
Police charged a 17-year-old Charleville man with being in a licensed area of the showgrounds.
