Toilet canned

KILLARNEY is to have a new toilet block.
Southern Downs Regional Council closed the old toilet block at Canning Park on Monday and will rebuild a new toiletry facility over the next month.
Community Facilities Manager Michael Bell said the upgrade to the toilets came about because the current facility does not provide access for people with disability.
He said the old toilet block does not meet Crime Prevention Through Environment and Design standards, and was due for replacement under the council’s asset management plan.
Directional signage has been erected to indicate alternative parks and toilets.
“As part of these works council will build new pathways from the new toilet block to the main street and nearby carpark,” Mr Bell said.
