WHEN staff at Baringa Nursery agreed to enter a competition organised by one of their suppliers they did not expect to win.
The Facebook competition organised by Rocky Point Mulching required entrants to create a display using Rocky Point products.
The Baringa Nursery display won against 20 other entrants with 184 likes on Facebook.
Cathy Ryan thanked Fitzroy Motors for the use of parts for the display. Parts from a 1936 Chevrolet were initially used, then replaced with parts from a 1938 Chevrolet when the first vehicle had to be returned for restoration.
Inspiration for the winning display came from something that Cathy remembered seeing when passing through Aratula a couple of years ago.
Jonathan Drury from Rocky Point visited Baringa Nursery on Friday afternoon to congratulate the staff on their win.
“Congratulations to Baringa Nursery for their brilliant creation, they have done themselves proud,” he said.
