DESPITE the inclement conditions on Friday and some rain Saturday the 2013 Rivertree bike ride at the popular Half Moon course at Liston was a successful event.
The heavy showers did little more than settle the dust and made for almost perfect conditions for the big field of 800 plus riders.
Again this year, ride organisers catered for the novices on their pee wees to the experienced riders ready to take on the most challenging courses.
Organisers reported that there were only a few minor injuries over the two-day ride and no major incidents.
