LOOK around the Southern Downs and Tenterfield Shire and you’ll find that much of the population volunteers in some capacity. There’s the SES, the show and rodeo volunteers, volunteers in policing, in school tuckshops, charity stores and op shops, service clubs, sports clubs, welfare organisations, art and craft clubs, the CWA, Salvation Army and church groups.
Our community would be poorer if not for the work of volunteers.
