BOWLERS are reminded that nominations for the B Singles will close next Saturday and play will start on or before the following Saturday. The Open Singles is also open and will close on 8 March.
The club entered four teams in the District Fours Championship recently and they did us credit, with Darren Rabbitt’s team reaching the semi-final and Peter Collis’ team, the final, when he was beaten by Mick Mills’ team from the Summit. Well done.

The winning team was our very own [or almost our very own] Darren Stanley, [Summit] Peter Gynther, John Simpson, Darren Rabbitt with a score of 43pts, runners-up were Terry Banditt’s team from Tannymorell on 42 points. First round winners were the Clifton team skipped by K Morris. Second round winners – Peter Collis’ team and third round Lennie Covill’s team.
There were two rinks of social on Saturday but I don’t have the cards to hand.
The Jackpot actually did go off last week and it was won by Jim McCallum and Tom Seaniger with a score of +1.
Looking ahead, the club has AGM on Saturday, club meetings on Tuesday 18 February, Social on Saturday 22 February and Watchmakers on Sunday 23 February.
