THE Lounge, a venue for young people run by Warwick Christian Fellowship, will hold its first function for the year on Saturday, 22 February.
Organisers Josh and Katie Hay and their troop of helpers renovated the old church on the corner of Quinn and Carmody Sts and turned it into a funky venue to host youth meetings for those from 14 to 25 years.
Mr Hay said they had opened The Lounge in response to a perceived need.
“The purpose of the venue is for young people to get together, have a meal and share friendship” Mr Hay said.
Events will be held every fourth Saturday including dinner, music and a fun night for all – free of charge.
The theme for this first gathering of 2014 is Tapas Lounge and promises good food, good music and warm hospitality.
