IF you are looking for an oasis of quiet during the Apple and Grape Festival this weekend then St Paul’s Anglican Church in Corundum Street might be the place to head.
Stanthorpe will be busy, colourful and noisy during the festival the Granite Belt Choir’s Musical Quiet Hour will provide a chance to take breath and relax.
The choir will perform in St Paul’s at 4pm on Saturday and again at 11am on Sunday.
This year’s Musical Quiet Hour is themed Music for Peace and will start with three songs of benediction, belief and sorrow followed by the highlights from The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins.
The choir will be joined by a select group of instrumentalists for the Karl Jenkins piece.
St Paul’s will be decorated for the festival to add to the atmosphere.
