We were able to pick a winner from the shortened game with the Summit getting off to a flying start. E. Zanetta, L. Covill, M. Zanetta, and V. Newlands won with a score of 11. The runners-up were K. Johnson, J. Roots, B. O’Brien and Y. Reid on nine points. The lucky winners of the encouragement award were D. Christensen, K. Kelly, G. Barrett, B. Christensen, who did manage to get one point. Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to the Oak Tree Retirement Village for their very generous support in sponsoring our gala day. Winners of the raffles were E. Symko, G. Barrett, K. Getting serious now, names can be put on the board for the open triples and fours. We hope to play these games in May as April is fairly busy with district events and Easter.
Today, Thursday 27 March we are inviting the men to come along and have a game of bowls with the ladies. Play to start at 1pm. The book is also open for the ladies’ singles and pairs competition which we would like to get started as soon as possible.

Warwick East Bowls
No bowls were played at home last weekend as the club was representing us at the District Club Challenge at the Summit Club.
Results as follows: Warwick East defeated Warwick two wins, one draw one loss, giving our club two points. Second round against Tenterfield, two wins and two losses, one point.
Third round against Texas, when rain wiped out part of it we were in front on one rink, behind on one rink and draws on two rinks.
This gave the winners for the day to Texas, who then had to play the winners of game held at Warwick Club at Tenterfield.
Next Thursday is Red Rooster sponsored day with play starting at 1pm. Saturday the second round of club singles to be played with D. Sullivan/N. Farmer, E. Diery/N. Wickham to play, along with social bowls, visitors welcome.
