Rodeo Week in Warwick, where the best in the worlds of rodeo and campdraft converge for a week of unparalleled horsemanship and skill at the Warwick Showgrounds. But the fun is not confined to the showgrounds. Downtown Warwick will offer up a street carnival on Friday night, and a street parade and the Leslie Park Markets on Saturday.
SATURDAY CRAFT MARKETS
Shopping for gifts, art, craft, the ingenious, the weird and the wonderful, then head to the Leslie Park Markets from 9am to 2pm on Rodeo Saturday. Large, colourful and a-buzz with atmosphere, these markets boast over 150 stalls showcasing the best and most original of the region. Home-made, home-grown and home-baked delights!
FLORAL WINDOW COMPETITION
Businesses, schools and community organisations create beautiful floral displays as part of the Rose & Rodeo Festival. The Warwick Horticultural Society’s 2014 Floral Competition includes Floral Window, Rose Display, Rodeo Display, School Display, Financial & Professional Institutions, Foyers & Waiting Rooms, Interior Display & Artificial Display categories. Take a stroll in Palmerin Street to take in the floral fun.
GETTING AROUND
Please note that parking around the Warwick Showgrounds is heavily restricted.
The Warwick Showgrounds is conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from the CBD or a 10 minute walk from Australiana Park. There is ample parking in the Library Car Park on the corner of Albion & Fitzroy Streets and in Australiana Park on the corner of Wallace and Cleary Streets and a FREE shuttle bus is available from both these locations.
Free Shuttle Buses
Free shuttle buses will be provided for the weekend to encourage spectators to catch a ride from Australiana Park or the Warwick Visitor Centre. Visitors are able to change shuttles at the showgrounds to then travel on to the CBD area for the Friday night mardi-gras or the Saturday markets and street parade. This bus service will run from 5pm on Friday 25 October with services every 15/30 minutes.
