Tenterfield Veteran Golfers
TUESDAY 21 October, 33 Tenterfield veterans played a 4BBB Stableford event. Returning to the winner’s circle after a long spell on the sidelines were Peter and Pam Brown with a magnificent score of 50 points to edge out the road runners Gary Sutcliffe and Di Benson on 49. Ball run downs to Graeme and Lorraine Moore, Michael Manser and Brian Curry and Ralph Weatherley and John Meredith all 48 points. Pin Shot No 18 Michael Hurley 116 centimetres; Captain’s draw Ken and Perry Hines. Congratulations to Peter Moll for his Eagle three on the Par 5 No. 11 Hole.
The “A” golfer with a brother residing in Wallangarra, please remind him we hit off in daylight saving time.
Committeemen Denis Hull and Ted Hartfield are to have operations, members send their best wishes. Great to see Robyn Eastgate back on course after her knee problem.
Melbourne Cup day only will be an 8.30am registration for a 9am shotgun start, not an all-day event. This will be an open event with both a veteran’s and open prize winner. Clubhouse Cup activities in the club to follow.
Tenterfield Veteran Golfers Open day will be played on Tuesday 18 November. See veterans captain to nominate.
