POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal motorcycle crash east of Tenterfield on Saturday.
A 57-year-old man was riding a motorbike with a group of other riders on the Bruxner Highway about 8.50am when he lost control and hit a guard rail about 40 kilometres east of Tenterfield.
Emergency services were immediately notified, however the man died at the scene.
Police from New England Local Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.
