Skills in a snap

WANT to do something different these holidays? In conjunction with ABC Open, Warwick Library is hosting a free photography workshop for young people aged 10 to 18 years. The two-hour session will be held on Wednesday 14 January from 10.30am.
Principal librarian Samantha Shelbourn said participants will learn how to set up and take great photos using tablet devices, including post-processing and publishing with some amazing apps.
“Places are limited, so bookings are essential and can be made at the Warwick Library or by phoning 4661 0342,“ she said.
“A parent or guardian will be required to complete paperwork prior to the workshop, so we encourage any interested young people to inquire early so they don’t miss out.
“Participants can bring their own tablet, or devices can be provided to those without their own. The workshop will be a combination of indoor and outdoor activities, so participants are required to bring a hat, sunscreen, and drinks.
The most recent Open workshops occurred at the Warwick Library and Stanthorpe Civic Centre during Youth Week in April 2014 and they were a hit with the region’s youth.
The session will be led by Ben Tupas from ABC Southern Queensland and will be held in the Warwick Library meeting room, at 49 Albion Street.
